CFR Solo 2009 Trophy Rules

 

All drivers must be SCCA members to qualify for class champion

 

For the east coast, the season will consist of fifteen points events.  To qualify for class champion, the following requirements must be met:

  1. The driver must compete in at least nine east coast points events during the year
  2. The driver must compete in the same class for nine points events

 

At the end of the series, points from the best nine events will be counted.  In the event of a tie, the driver with more head-to-head wins against the other driver will be awarded the class champion.   If still tied, additional events will be included until the tie is broken to determine class champion.

 

 

For the west coast, the season will consist of twelve points events.  To qualify class champion, the following requirements must be met:

  1. The driver must compete in at least seven west coast points events during the year
  2. The driver must compete in the same class for seven points events

 

At the end of the series, points from the best seven events will be counted.  In the event of a tie, the driver with more head-to-head wins against the other driver will be awarded the class champion.  If still tied, additional events will be included until the tie is broken to determine class champion.

 

 

Note:

Sebring will count towards both east and west coast points.

November will be non-points events for both east and west coast.

The Gainesville event is a time trial and will not count towards year-end points.

 

Important:

Points cannot be transferred from one class to another class. 

All results and class designations will be final at the end of each event. It is the driver’s responsibility to know what class they belong in.

All corrections must be made prior to the end of the event. 

A driver can be eligible for both east and west coast year end champion. 

 

If there are cancelled events during the season, the minimum number of qualifying events may change accordingly.
